What will the road network look like by 2030?
The Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, unveiled large-scale projects aimed at modernizing the national road network as part of preparations for the 2030 World Cup. He stated that his ministry, in collaboration with all stakeholders, had designed a strategy to improve the roads serving major cities as well as outlying areas, in order to ensure better connectivity and host the event in the best possible conditions. In detail, approximately 30 cities will benefit from the rehabilitation of their road sections. In terms of maintenance, nearly 3 billion dirhams are allocated each year, representing nearly 46% of the road budget.
