Casablanca, Africa’s leading financial center and third in the MENA region
The 37th edition of the Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI 37) places Casablanca’s financial centre in first place on the continent and third in the MENA region. Its score of 696 improves by 2.05% compared to the previous edition, compared to a regional average improvement of 1.64%. It comes behind Dubai’s financial centre, which continues to occupy first place on the regional podium, and Abu Dhabi, second in the MENA ranking. Casablanca also improves its global ranking by one place compared to the 36th edition of this index, reaching 56th place.
